2015 Angel Investor Awards has found their owners
Emre Kurttepeli has been the Lifetime Honorary Award winner
The 7th of Startup Turkey events which brings software, mobile, games and e-commerce entrepreneurs and investors in the world together was held in Antalya on March 3,2015.
This year, Angel Investment Awards that are of the most important components of the entrepreneurial ecosystem has been given for the fist time in order to encourage and reward the angel investors. The candidates were selected from more than 120 nominations.
Candidates were evaluated by 15 different criterias such as past performances, portfolio volume, the mentoring process for entrepreneurs , investor network memberships, university and non-governmental organization partnerships and determined at the end of the interviews with entrepreneurs about angel nvestors
Turkey Innovation Week event brings together all leading figures in the region to discuss latest innovation and technology trends affecting the world.
This year, Turkey Innovation Week event was held at Istanbul Congress Center by Turkey Exporters Assembly and was graced with the presence of Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and the support of the Ministry of Economy.
On 4-5-6 December, the event hosted dozens of local and foreign speakers who are experts in their fields at Istanbul Congress Center. Emre Kurttepeli gave a speech on “New Approaches in Entrepreneurship Ecosystem” panel on the day of opening.
World-renowned leaders, CEOs, experts and academics on innovation, design, science, technology, marketing, education and energy came together at panels and conferences. Most innovative companies of Turkey were awarded. Mayor of Istanbul, Kadir Topbaş, MIT Media Lab founder Nicholas Negroponte, Former Prime Minister of Finland Esko Aho, Chairman of G20 Young Entrepreneurs Association Jeremy Liddle, Digital Media Specialist Robert Tercek were the speakers of Turkey Innovation Week as speakers this year.

17 November 2014 – The official opening of Global Entrepreneurship Week, the launch of the private market in Istanbul Stock Market and with the gong ceremony was held at the Istanbul Chamber of Industry. Webrazzi Summit was held in Swissotel The Bosphorus on 25 September 2014, with more than 1,500 participants .
Emre Kurttepeli participated as a speaker in the “What is Next in Turkish Internet Market?” panel. Emre Kurttepeli said that “To make a global product and being able to respond to local market needs are many different things” in his speech. The panel’s other speakers are Didem Altop (Endeavor Tr), Hasan Aslanoba (Aslanoba Capital) and the panel moderated by Arda Kutsal.
The first generation of “Innovators under 35 Turkey” was held in Salt Galata on 17 September 2014 by Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Innovators under 35 years old were awarded at the organization.
“Innovators Under 35”Is held in different countries around the world in the last 10 Years. Previous winners of the competition were Google’s Sergey Brin, Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg and Paypal’s Max Levhin.
Emre Kurttepeli, gave a speech on Comparing Silicon Valley with the Bosphorus innovation ecosystem panel; “We should focus on our strengths rather than our weakness. He has touched up on Turkey’s key highlight to be an innovative country. “Turkey’s unique feature is having a young population”He said that “We’re always talking about access to finance in Turkey but if you have a good idea money will inevitably follow.
Emre Kurttepeli has took place as the jury at the Metro Social Entrepreneur Awards 2014.
The competition held by Metro, Capital and Economist Magazine. Winners of the competition which attracted great attention, have been announced at The award ceremony at Suada on 16th September 2014.
On June 26 2014, Emre Kurttepeli was the guest of “Finance Cafe” program prepared by Yucel Melda and broadcast on CNBC-e. In the program, important topics like investment situation in Turkey and Turkish entrepreneurship were evaluated

Webrazzi Startup’14 Conference was held in Point Hotel Barbaros on 14 May 2014. Speakers of the first session were the President of Galata Business Angels Emre Kurttepeli and Keiretsu Forum Turkey Vice President Aydonat Atasever. Emre Kurttepeli gave a speech on “Angel Investor Networks and Contribution to Entrepreneurs”.
In the session, forthcoming entrepreneurial approach and speakers agreed about funding issues in Turkey. Emre Kurttepeli stated: “A stronger support of angel investment has critical importance in the growth of the internet and technology entrepreneurship ecosystem in Turkey”
